Located on Loyola University’s Medical Center Campus, the Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing and Center for Collaborative Learning is an innovative model in medical education. The design creates a unique and collaborative learning environment where students work together as a medical team, simulating real-world situations. The center is a sustainable and cost-conscious campus, and innovative designs conserve energy and resources. Kawneer’s 2500 PG Wall® Curtain Wall System is used for its flexibility; 360 Insulclad® Entrances optimize thermal efficiency for the entire building façade; external custom Versoleil® Sunshades shade the south wall and an operable, external shading system on the west wall helps control heat gain.
