New York, New York, USA
The Flatiron Building is one of the most photographed buildings in New York and mimics the bow of an ocean liner. The stone and terracotta facade, which is considered to be one of the oldest skyscrapers in New York City, needed new windows due to weathering effects and age. This need led to Kawneer assisting in the historic window replacement retrofit project.
The windows chosen for the project were the same historic windows selected for the Empire State Building restoration in the early 1990s.
