DRAFTING
ENGINEERING TEAM

Dedicated Support for Shop Drawings and Take-Off

At Kawneer, we know every detail matters. Our Drafting/Engineering Team can provide high-quality shop drawings for our customers’ projects, ensuring the highest level of detail with our in-house Kawneer product expertise.

Our Drafting Team analyzes a project’s criteria, plans and specifications to create comprehensive shop drawings for glaziers to use for fabrication and assembly.

Our Engineering Team then reviews the detailed, project-specific shop drawings, completes a structural analysis of the project to identify any potential issues and ensures all project criteria are met, from performance needs to specialized requirements. The work of the Engineering Team allows our customers to know potential project issues have been identified and resolved early by experts with exemplary product knowledge.

Once our in-house teams have completed the shop drawings, our Take-Off Team can create the full bill of materials and accurate stock lengths for a project, delivering confidence to our customers that they will secure all project materials first time around.

FIELD
SERVICES TEAM

Delivering Priceless On-Site Support

With unmatched Kawneer product knowledge and attention to detail, our Field Services Team delivers on-site technical support to our customers, minimizing costly and inefficient job-site errors.

Our experienced Field Services Team can complete the installation review now required in many project specifications, coming on-site at the specified point in the installation process to review the work according to our published installation instructions. As part of the installation review service, our team submits a report of their evaluation.

The team can also assist with or witness critical field testing for air infiltration and water penetration. This field testing service helps to ensure the quality and integrity of a building project before full installation takes place.

Maximizing Knowledge to Navigate Projects

To help our customers develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to maximize their projects, Kawneer offers dedicated training programs for Kawneer customers led by our industry-leading experts across North America.

For estimators and project managers, our Kawneer Product Mastery Schools deliver instruction on Kawneer systems, share product terminology and teach the skills needed for successful bid proposals. This training can include a detailed review of Kawneer systems, support tools and guidelines for estimation, take-off and ordering.

For fabricators and installers, our Kawneer Fabrication and Installation Schools deliver training on the installation requirements for a range of popular Kawneer systems, providing hands-on experience, installation techniques, best practices and guidance on commonly made errors in the field.

We can also arrange a personalized customer training session that blends components from both Kawneer Schools.
